Lira University, through the Office of the Academic Registrar, has officially opened applications for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The Academic Registrar announced that prospective students can apply through the university’s online application portal using the Academic Information Management System (AIMS).
Online submissions already begun on February 17th, 2025, and will run till Monday, June 30th, 2025.
Applicants must first generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN) to pay the non-refundable application fee before completing their submissions.
Application fees vary by category: UGX 50,000 for Advanced Level applicants from East Africa, while Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma holders must pay UGX 60,000. International applicants face higher fees of UGX 100,000 and UGX 120,000 respectively, plus applicable bank charges.
Important to note is that the university confirmed there will be no Pre-Entry Examinations for diploma holders applying for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programs this year.
All advertised fees cover only tuition costs and exclude other expenses like functional fees, research costs, internships, and accommodation.
