Busitema University is a public university established by statutory instrument No.22, 2007 enacted by parliament on 10th /May/2007.The University is a multi-campus model with seven campuses namely; Arapai, Busitema, Kaliro, Mbale, Nagongera, Pallisa and Namasagali.
The University is well known for its unique programs that address and are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. In fact, it was named among the 50 bodies that played a significant role in aiding Uganda achieve the SDGs. Due to the urgency and need for its courses, most of its programs are at a higher cost.
