This year, St. Mary’s Kitende SS and Seeta High School, Mukono Campus have taken the lead in securing government-sponsored student admissions at Makerere University and Makerere University Business School (MUBS).
The two schools have collectively secured 287 government-sponsored placements at these prestigious institutions. This significant achievement highlights their strong academic programs and the exceptional performance of their students.
In addition to the leading schools, traditional institutions such as Gayaza High School, Kings College Budo, and Mount St Mary’s Namagunga have also performed remarkably well. These schools have continued their legacy of academic excellence by securing a substantial number of government-sponsored admissions.
Makerere University and MUBS have admitted a total of 1500 students under the government sponsorship program this year. This program is crucial as it provides financial support to high-achieving students, enabling them to pursue higher education without financial constraints.
The impressive number of admissions from St. Mary’s Kitende SS and Seeta High School is a testament to the schools’ effective educational strategies and the dedication of their staff. The success of these students reflects the quality of education provided and sets a benchmark for other schools.
Traditional schools also continue to excel, demonstrating the sustained effort of both students and teachers. Their consistent performance reaffirms the strength of Uganda’s educational system.
