There’s no hope of normal activities resuming today at Makerere University as Police are currently engaged in running battles the students striking over a policy that requires tuition fees are cleared within the first six weeks of a semester.

This morning more gowns were seen and bullets had to be fired to cool the incensed crowd. Students wielding canes went through lecture rooms interrupting lectures and chasing students out to the cause
