The University football league (UFL) is on and we have already witnessed a lot of entertainment from the amazing talents Ugandan Universities have to offer.
In Today’s match that saw a low turn up, Ndejje University hosted Uganda Martyrs University (UMU), also known as the saints at their grounds dubbed the Arena of visions. The first half ended in a 0–0 draw despite intense attacks from UMU.
The second half started off with more determination from both teams as each struggled to win the important three points.
It was Ndejje University’s goal keeper Muyega who made many saves as Aguma and Mugume’s shots found their way towards Ndejje’s goal.
Muyanga Hassan broke the deadlock in the 69th minute by firing a well curved free kick from 18 yards, sending Ndejje in celebrations.
Uganda martyrs continued their unending attacks and Ndejje’s defence was kept busy clearing, tackling and marking the brilliant wave of attacks from the saints.
All efforts dissolved into nothing as UMU failed to find the back end of Ndejje’s goal, ending in a 1-0 defeat to Uganda Martyrs University.
