Last night Makerere University students residing in Lumumba Hall nearly beat up one of their own after he failed to throw them a birthday party as he had promised. The unidentified student was celebrating his birthday yesterday November 21st.
According to our snoops inside Lumumba Hall, this dude promised to take out his friends to KFC, Acacia branch and vowed to foot the bill. Apparently, he assured the Lumumba fellows that he had got enough money from the guild aspirants and some from the University Vice Chancellor, Prof Barnabas Nawangwe.
After serving them with free sodas, he held a meeting in the Hall yesterday afternoon where planning for the birthday party went down. The Lumumba dudes noticing issa plan, sharpened their teeth for the delicious KFC chicken.
Later that evening, the birthday boy allegedly went to book a Costa so that him and the Lumumba boys can move together to enjoy the party. After one hour passed, the dudes (who were sure about munching KFC for dupper instead of the boring hall food) started calling his phone after noticing that he had delayed. More hours passed and still the dude was nowhere to be seen and neither was he returning calls.
The hungry, stranded and bitter Lumumbists waited for him to come back so that they can teach him a lesson. On his arrival at around 11pm, the bitter Lumumba generals wanted to thump him to pulp but he was saved by the student leaders.
He was later forced to apologize for fooling the entire Lumumba hall and warned not to repeat his prank again. It is said that he had lied to his friends a couple of times but this time they were fed up of his games.
