The Rotaract Club of Makerere University under Rotary International installed it’s 20th president, Lukeera Emmanuel after Mwesigye Robert Ndyanabo peacefully handed over power.
The successful installation ceremony took place on 15th April, 2016 at the University’s main hall in the main building of MAK. Justice David Batema was the evening’s chief guest and the ceremony was gracefully conducted with the new board officiated.
The Rotaract Club is a part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. Rotaract clubs organise a variety of activities and projects in a bid to serve the community.
The club project “paint them all” is an initiative to renovate the Administrative block of Wandegeya Primary school, one where over 1000 books were donated recently. A number of pledges and contributions were made by different Rotarians and invited guests.
Rotaractors have access to the many resources of Rotary International (RI) and the Rotary Foundation.
The Rotary Club of Kampala whose current President is Kaddu Mukasa is the mother club to the Rotaract club of Makerere University.
Rotary International provides the administrative support that helps Rotaract clubs thrive.
