Juliet Tumwesigye, graduate in Bachelor’s of Commerce from Makerere University met an untimely demise in the wee hours of today morning after being involved in an accident.
Details of her death are still scarce but for now the information Campusbee has is that the fallen graduate, widely known on social media as Julimuffn, was knocked by a motorist at around 1am today and was rushed to Case Clinic were she breathed her last. It is said that the motorist is currently on the run.
“She got a bajaj to her place in Old Kampala from Tuskys Wandegeya where a friend had dropped her. The head on collision happened at Martin Road after which she was rushed to Case hospital where she breathed her last,” a friend says.
Messages from disconsolate friends and relatives continue to flood her Facebook and Twitter timeline, with friends still visibly trying to come to terms with the tragedy.
Ikwap Amos: “Haha Juriee L’antibiotik these tears won’t dry, but I will be strong, go be with the Lord Muffin. Looking through all these texts and I still can’t believe you’re gone.”
Surumani Manzi: “A dark, forbidding gloom has cast its shroud over pitiful, bereaved Kampala as friends and family stirred to the tragedy of the passing of the beloved Miss Juriee.
Sociable, warm, golden-hearted, kindly and in all ways larger-than-life, Julimuffn will for eternity be missed by all who had the good fortune to be enchanted by her magic.
But while we mourn the departure of this dearest soul – shall her family ever have the justice of knowing who was responsible for this untimely event?
Shall that reckless motorist ever face the hand of the law in this land of our tears?
Requiem Mass will be held at the vigil at their home in Lugala later. Burial will be on Monday in Ibanda, Nyabuhikye.
Rest becalmed, dearest Julimuffn.
We Mourn. We celebrate. Forever, we remember.”
