Kateregga Julius, the Makerere University guild president has been left out as Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine named People Power coordinators. It is not yet clear why Kateregga’s name did not appear on the Institutions category list despite his support for the pressure group.
The category features names of fellow People Power student leaders like; Muhumuza Umaru (MUST guild president), Tundulu Jonathan (Kyambogo guild president), and Milkah Nabacwa (Ndejje guild president). The Institutions team is headed by former Makerere guild president Roy Semboga who is also the aspiring MP for Kawempe South.
It should be recalled that Kateregga contested for the Makerere guild leadership under People Power and he was congratulated by Bobi Wine shortly after his victory.
The singer-turned politician also invited Kateregga and other student leaders to his home in Magere where they held talks and vowed to work together.
The whole list of People Power coordinators includes representatives from 28 categories most of which are FDC and DP party members. The coordinators were announced today morning during a press conference held at the legislator’s home in Magere.
