Members of the Makerere NRM chapter are hunting for Ruth Nsubuga their candidate in the former guild race who disappeared with the party’s 25 million shillings.
This money was disbursed from the NRM treasury after the elections to foot the campaign bills of the party flag bearer. However, the disbursement procedure was breached. The shs25million was credited onto Nsubuga’s account instead of the NRM Mak chapter’s bank account through its chairman. Close friends to Nsubuga intimate to Campus Bee that immediately after receiving the money, Nsubuga went on a shopping spree buying new sleek dresses to accommodate her Winnie Nwagi like body, hired a couple of bodyguards.
On learning about this, members of the chapter who had solicited personal money to aid in the campaigns and were hoping for a refund from the treasury launched a search for her. These desperate students who supported and stood by her are always seen standing in cocoons outside every lecture she is expected to attend.
“She never even had any single penny to drop in the halls’ culture boxes. We were the ones giving her all the money. Whenever we call her now, she either hangs up, calls us fools or says she has no idea who we are..” said one of the chapter members who dedicated all her upkeep to fund Nsubuga’s guild presidential bid.
In the video below, Nsubuga says the people do not have any sort of agreement that shows they lent her money.
Sources close to Nsubuga reveal a conspiracy in which she plotted a political poison against Zilitwawula Abdul Kareem pinning him to belong to NRM a fact that might have made him come second in the polls. They further told this reporter that Nsubuga plans on using the remaining money to buy a ministerial position in Kato Paul’s government.
Well, we all see where corruption and swindling of public funds begins; From the juvenile grass roots. Before crucifying Minister Kabafunzaaki, let as young people torch into our leaders and make them accountable. Begin by alerting the NRM chapter about Ruth’s where abouts, even a sniff of her hair, call the police ? ? ? .
