A third year student of Makerere University, Esther Milly Nakitende, was on Saturday at 8:00pm allegedly rapped and killed by her cousin only identified as Buule Robinson. Nakitende was found in a pool of blood the next morning by her Uncle at her home in Kawempe.
“Nakitende was raped and stabbed with a metal by her cousin, Kabenjye,” One of the deceased’s relative told this website on Monday morning. It is said that Kabenjye killed this student after she put up quite a tough resistance. “He was trying to get hold of the rent money that the deceased had collected from tenants,” the source added. Kabenjye is currently in police custody.
The 22-year-old journalism and mass communication student was commuting. Makerere third year journalism and communication students are currently at the home of the deceased in Kawempe to pay their last respects.
