After yesterday’s battles with police, revolutionary leaders who include Simon Wanyera the academic affairs minister,
Papa Were Salim and Ronald Ainebyoona of the FDC chapter were left locked up at Wandegeya police station as the ring leaders of the march to parliament. The guild president also spent the night in the coolers at CPS.

Messages started spreading this afternoon that the above 3 together with their Area Councillor Doreen Nyanjura and Guild President Kato Paul were going to be transferred to the famous torture center Nalufenya in Jinja.

An immediate mobilization was done and students ganged at the freedom square in solidarity to march to Wandegeya Police and CPS to fight for the release of these leaders. By press time, the students had been released to avoid anymore chaos.
