Makerere University has confirmed that all students will by close of business tomorrow, Thursday have received their internship money on their respective bank accounts.
This was confirmed by the university’s public relations officer, Ritah Namisango today.
“The money normally takes four working hours to be reflected on their (students) respective accounts by Thursday this week,” Ritah Namisango confirmed in a statement.
Ritah further continues to confirm that they are left with over 100 students whose account details were faulty but working round the clock to ensure that they receive the money.
Each student is supposed to receive Shs380, 000 shillings to facilitate their internship.
The institution has asked the students to remain calm as they wait for Thursday is week when their money will be reflected on their bank accounts.
Last week hundreds of Makerere University students led by their guild president went on strike over the university’s failure to release their internship money.
