The Makerere University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nawangwe has been dragged to court by students.
These students who are led by the former Vice Guild President as well as aspiring guild president 2020/2021, Nalukwago Judith and Musiri David, a well known activist at the ivory tower, and other suspended students, have decided to take this path after what they are calling an “unfair suspension” that was slapped on them by the professor for participating in the “fees must fall” demonstrations in the previous semester.
This follows the suspended students’ demand for “every student to be given a chance to be heard when in the Disciplinary Committee before any suspension decisions are taken.”
These students have gone on to call everyone to stand with them in solidarity as they drag Makerere University’s top administrator to court.
In a Facebook post on his wall, Musiri David is pleading with his followers to stand with him in solidarity at Twed towers as their case in submitted.
The students are set to go to court on 17th Feb 2020.
