John Elungat, a student of Business administration at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) – Mbale campus officially graduated as the oldest scholar in this year’s 72nd ceremony.
John Elungat at 62 years of age became inevitable notice as one of the outstanding achievers at the undergraduate level.
Elungat’s recognition is due to the fact that most of his coursemates qualify to be his grandchildren, rhyming with the saying that ‘its never too late.’
“MUBS’s Oldest Graduand at the 72nd Mak graduation ceremony. John Elungat Graduated with Bachelor of Business Administration. Age is just a digit! Congratulations,” MUBS acknowledged Elungat’s feat.
Elungat hails from Bukedea district thus opted for MUBS-Mbale campus for convinience in terms of geographical location.
The joyous patriarch shared some of his highs and lows of the education journey citing persistence as a key factor towards success.
Elungat had previously applied at MUBS in 2005 but was unfortunate not to proceed with the course due to financial constraints.
