Makerere University’s historic 75th graduation ceremony is set to run for five days from Monday, 13th January to Friday, 17th January, 2025.
Thousands are expected to scoop academic rewards and seven distinguished scholars from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) are among the doctoral candidates who will receive their degrees during this milestone event.
The MUBS contingent will participate in the middle of the week-long celebrations, with their graduates split across two days.
The first group of four PhD candidates will receive their degrees on Wednesday, January 15th, the third day of the ceremony.
This group comprises Ms. Dorcus Kalembe, Ms. Farida Nakayima, Mr. Bob Ssekiziyivu, and Mr. Siraje Yiga.
The following day, Thursday, January 16th, will see Mr. Ezra Rubanda Muhumuza, Ms. Jenniffer Nabaweesi, and Mr. Julius Opiso being conferred with their doctoral degrees.
According to the schedule released by the MUBS School Registrar, these PhD awards will be part of a broader presentation of degrees from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research.
The Wednesday ceremony will also include graduates from multiple MUBS faculties, including Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality and Languages, Marketing and International Business, Economics, Energy and Management Science, and Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.
The Thursday proceedings will continue with additional MUBS graduates from Computing and Informatics, Management, Commerce, and Procurement and Logistics Management, alongside the three doctoral candidates of the day.
The five-day event is one of the largest graduation ceremonies in East Africa.
Congratulations to all!
