Three serving Members of Parliament were part of graduates on the final day of Makerere University’s historic 75th graduation ceremony today.
Opposition Chief Whip and Manjiya County MP John Baptist Nambeshe, Bukoto East’s Ronald Evans Kanyike, and Kanungu District Woman MP Patience Kinshaba Nkunda represented the August house.
The MPs were among the graduands of the final day; from the Colleges of Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering, Design, Art & Technology, and Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
The lawmakers’ graduation marks a fitting finale to a remarkable five-day ceremony that began on January 13th, 2025, showcasing unprecedented achievements.
The ceremony has also witnessed exceptional academic performances, notably from Abdul Latif Umar Bagoole, who achieved a remarkable 4.97 CGPA in Bachelor of Leisure and Hospitality Management, and Mubiru Enock Joel, who scored an outstanding 4.91 CGPA in Sciences.
A total of 13,662 students have received their credentials with females comprising 53.4% (7,299) of the total graduating class.
