Makerere University has partnered with Next Media ahead of the Makerere at 100 celebrations.
Kin Karisa, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Next Media signed a partnership agreement with Makerere University worth UGX 200 million on Wednesday May 11th, 2022.
The partnership will see to it that Next Media advertises and aligns itself with all Makerere University centennial celebration arrangements.
Kin Karisa, a member of the Makerere University centennial celebration organizing committee, praised Makerere University which serves as his alma mater, saying that he shares at least seven years out of the hundred that Makerere is yet to celebrate.
“To me, Makerere University is home. Out of the 100 years its celebrating, I share 7 years. I was a guild minister for academic affairs while a student here. The good work you see us doing out there is because of this university.” Kin Karisa said.
Kin Karisa also worked as a lecturer at Makerere University College of Computing and Information Science.
Professor Barnabas Nawangwe hailed the partnership, thanking Next Media Services for the collaboration.
Makerere University will be celebrating 100 years of existence in October 2022 and preparations for the year-long centennial celebrations are ongoing.
