The first cohort of students who pursued a two-year diploma course in 3D Animation at the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CoCIS) graduated on 14th November 2013.
A total of 22 students were awarded diplomas in 3D animation and three students graduated with first class diplomas and another three with second upper.

Currently, six games are being developed by Digimation Ltd and one of these is going to involve the input of the best three students of this first cohort.
According to The Observer, Amdekar, estimates that the game will be launched in September next year. The global animation industry is growing annually by leaps and bounds, creating many employment opportunities worldwide. Animation is needed in the TV and film industries, medicine, in e-learning for developing interactive content, 3D visualization and architectural drawings, among others.
In 2010, CoCIS signed a memorandum of understanding with Digimation Inc Ltd to engage Ugandan students in 3D animation education. This collaboration considers providing state-of-the-art technology backed by education in 3D animation and developing a 3D animation creative incubation centre (commercial animation studio).
