Despite notable differences between Kyambogo University and Makerere University, the Guild cabinets of both Universities held a friendly match at the West End pitch of Kyambogo University on Friday.
The match kicked off with harmonious handshakes between the players after which football action on the pitch commenced.
However, it was a one man game as ball possession was most prominent on the Makerere University side. One would easily describe the game as one played half field on the defending side of Kyambogo.
By the end of the game, Makerere University had netted five (5) goals. These goals were scored by Hon. Isaac Dikan (The GRC of School of Statistics) who scored a hat trick, Hon. Rodney Mpirre (The GRC of Livingstone Hall), and Hon. Kato Martins (Guild Information Minister).
Kyambogo University managed to score only one goal which put the game at 5-1 against the hosts.
German Amanya, the Guild president of Kyambogo University was one of the players who engaged Makerere University Guild players.
Kyambogo University students and Guild representatives blamed their goalkeeper, Emmanuel Tundulu for the unending goals scored into their net. This made the coach of the hosts to substitute him with haste but this did not in any way change the fate of the game.
After the game, the two Honorable sides had dinner together within the premises of Kyambogo and the Makerere team left for Wandegeya later in the evening with uncontrollable jubilation.
