Through their official social media platforms, the Makerere University management has revealed that provisional admission letters for the newly admitted students are ready and students are free to pick them from their respective colleges.

Newly admitted students are called upon to go with their former schools’ identity cards as well as their A-Level result slips as requirements for picking the admission letters.

“All 2019/2020 admitted students can now collect their provisional admission letters from the respective Colleges. You are required to carry your previous school identity card and A-Level result slips. Diploma holders and Mature age entrants will pick their provisional letters beginning 9th July 2019” the post reads.

The communication comes days after Makerere was rumored to be issuing provisional admission letters online. The rumor suggested that students can print out their own provisional admission letters and a real one would be issued after completion of tuition payment.

A total of 19,700 students were admitted to various disciplines after fulfilling the requirements to study from the institution in the 2019/2020 intake.
