A group of students from the College of Agriculture has this morning paralyzed work at the MAK main building. With their armor (red gown) on, they have for the past hours been holding placards with words like “WE WANT LECTURES” on top of quarreling like women in Katanga rentals.
These students claim they haven’t had lectures since the semester began and want the outgoing VC Prof Ddumba to intervene ASAP. On reaching the main building, Prof Ddumba who wasn’t in conflict resolving moods moved majestically out of his vehicle and walked back to his residence.
The students stood stranded on the closed doors of the main building for more hours until they left to plan for a better strategy.
The administration hasn’t yet come out to comment on this early morning demonstration and neither has it dismissed the allegations that the Agriculture lecturers have been chopping classes.
We shall keep you posted
