The unmarried and singles are soon finding their light at the tunnel’s end after christians at St Augustine Chaplaincy, Makerere University revealed an intention to start a club for singles to find lovers with whom they share spiritual connection.
Aimed at bringing together singles under similar religion from different walks of life , the club, ideated by Octogenarian, Father Makoboza Charles, will ease the struggle to search for a lover, in what has been termed an appropriate place.
Expected to happen mid this month (April), the club launch will involve registration and membership activities to set pace.
Commenting on the of this club, one of the priests at the chapel – Father Tony Akena revealed to a local publication that in his belief, many people feel rejected and alone in the world, while others are actively searching for a partner, adding that this club formation will provide a ground for people to meet and share lives together.
The argument of religious leaders at this chapel is that whereas christianity welcomes mixed religion marriages, there is a challenge of parenting which leaves children cut between which religion to take on as they grow up.
No better news can lighten up campusers’ moods now that the love search ground has been brought closer to home in the most unexpected way. This shades off a narrative of “finding love in hopeless places” as sang by Rihanna.
