After today’s lengthy meeting, Makerere University lecturers still failed to agree on whether to continue with or suspend their strike but rather walked out of the mainhall in protest, with the few who remained proposing they meet next time.
The cause of the disagreement was that some lecturers are “totally” tired of the strike while others are still agitating for it.
Its on that note that Muasa legal advisor Prof John Jean Barya from school of Law advised that they convene next time when council has pronounced its stand on paying incentive arrears.
