Claire Ninsiima, a Bachelors of Commerce External student last Tuesday slipped through the long fingers of death after a security guard sent to finish her failed to load the mission bullet.
Ninsiima, who also operates a mobile money kiosk in Wandegeya was first told to stand up and raise her hands by a one Alex Omala an askari attached to Tiger Security Group.
Ninsiima at gun point responded as ordered however was quick to spot a loophole in the assassin’s ability to operate a gun. Omala had been paid shs 200,000 by Hakim Burihani a tenant on one of the houses where Ninsiima is a care taker.
Burihani who was burdened by a 7 months rent debt thought finishing off his landlady (Ninsiima) would allow him walk away rent free.
“After firing the first bullet, I saw him fidgeting to load another bullet in the chamber and I just jumped onto his neck and wrestled him down and I grabbed the gun from him.”-said Ninsiima after escaping death.
With the help of onlookers, Omala the security guard was tied up and arrested on the scene while Burihani was picked up later after Omala’s confession.
The two suspects are behind bars at Wandegeya Police station and will be charged with attempted murder and Robbery.
