Makerere fresh graduate kidnaps self to extort money from parents, backfires

On Monday, we ran a story about Mouline Bamwine a fresh graduate from Makerere University who reportedly went missing on Sunday

Family members intimate that the kidnappers were asking for shs5m ransom. Little did they know that the kidnapped was conniving with the kidnappers to extort money from her parents.

“Bamwine faked her own kidnaping so she could get money from her parents. She chickened out and returned back home as her family got more worried after the  case received massive media and police attention,” a family source who spoke on condition of anonymity told this website.

Thanks to the sensitive social media comments. Over 60% of the reactions sniffed a possible prank to extort money considering Bawamwine’s behavior as described by her OB’s, OG’s and friends.
