On Monday, 21st August, 2023, Makerere University officially welcomed the new students for semester one 2023/2024 Academic Year.
This was marked by an elevating central orientation session held at the Freedom Square.
As the freshers begin the new academic year, the Dean of Students Winifred Kabumbuli has come out to issue a few rubrics to students on government sponsorship.
Government sponsored students have been requested to complete their registration within a period of two weeks from today Tuesday, 22nd August to 6th September, 2023.
“Please note that allowances will only be disbursed to those students who will have registered/enrolled with the University and registered with your respective Halls of Residence,” Ms Kabumbuli stated.
The students should also note that failure to register by the specified deadline will result in a delay of the allowances until registration is completed.
Makerere University Government sponsored students, often times, run out of patience with the administration regarding payment of these allowances.
Thus, these students should take heed of the above instructions to avoid prolonged delays.
