Makerere University graduand has rewarded an outsanding lecturer who supported him during his time of study at the Ivory Tower. Mr. Micheal Mugisha, who, at the 71st Makerere graduation ceremony, graduated with a Masters of Pharmacy in Pharmaceuticals and Health Supply Management stunned his friends last weekend when he gifted his lecturer, Dr Fadhiru Kamba. Dr. Kamba, who is the Head of Pharmacy Department at Makerere University also doubled as the graduand’s research supervisor.
Mr Mugisha handed over a title deed of half an acre of land in Kikyusa, Luweero to Dr Kamba and thanked him for the unwavering support he rendered during his research. “I spent months on my research project because I did not have time. I was so busy running my businesses but Dr Kamba was so good to me in that he used push me, encouraged and motivated me to carry out my research and eventually graduate.

They say you only give what you have and from the bottom of my heart, I am giving Dr Kamba half an acre of land here (Kikyusa) because it is what I have,” Mr Mugisha fondly spoke of Dr Kamba before going ahead to handover the title deed.
Dr Kamba, who has been in service for 44 years was over the moon and thanked Mr Mugisha for his generosity. “I have never received such a gift in my 44 years of service. Thank you Mike [Mugisha] and may the good Lord bless your generous heart,” the over the moon Dr Kamba said.
The land gifted to Dr Kamba is part of the 64 acres owned by Mr Mugisha in Kikyusa Luweero. He envisions a forest resort in future as he already has one year old eucalyptus trees. Mr Mugisha is also a lecturer at the department of pharmacy, Makerere University.
