It was a sombre moment in Kyambogo cell Nothern ward in Kanungu Town Council, Kanungu District as hundreds of mourners gathered in the area to bid farewell to the late Ritah Nahurira who perished in an accident in Kampala early this week.
Nahurira died on Monday 9th March, when the deceased is said to have fallen off from a boda boda she had boarded, and a speeding truck ran over her which left her lifeless.
The deceased’s father Dr Nazaroius Rukanyangira Kyengoro couldn’t hide his dismay against the errant cyclists who only mind about making money rather than lives of the innocent citizens. He called on the Uganda Police to deeply investigate her daughter’s death and bring whoever is accountable to justice.
The entire week has been full of grief over the late, Nahurira’s death. Her friends have expressed the gap she has left in their lives and they described her as gentle and sweet soul. It was a great shock that the deceased passed on at a very tender age yet she still had a very bright future lined up infront of her. She was an academic giant at Makerere University.
Nahurira was a former student and recent Graduate of Makerere University and as well, an old student of Mbarara based Maryhill High School.
May Ritah’s soul continue to rest in everlasting peace.
