Makerere University represented by the Guild chambers has introduced Makerere Guild forums to discuss, handle and provide solutions to issues affecting it.
The forum slated for today Thursday, 5th January starting at 2:00 pm in the University main hall. The discussion will focus on a number of issues such as the new academic programme, deadline for payment of fees slated for the 16th and the demolition of food service providers among others.
The office of the Prime minister earlier issued a notice inciting all stakeholders of the university to attend the first of its kind guild forum allowing for open discussion.
In attendance will be the Rwendeirwe – led visitation committee to listen to the views of students regarding the issues affecting the most prestigious university in Uganda.
The Guild through the office of the Prime Minister also invited the University’s former guild presidents, Hon Gerald Karuhanga and President Norbert Mao.
A paper will also be presented by Louis Namwanja Kizito regarding the status of the students body at the varsity.
