Yesterday, the students were shocked when one of the 15 aspirants by the names of Were Salim showed up with his convoy clad in a Bobi End inspired dress code. Papa Were was in a pure red like uniform umbrellad with a police like cap. Behind the short sleeved red shirt were the words #togikwatako. Just after the Togikwatako victory party hosted by NRM when everyone clearly thought the struggle to protect Article 102(b) had met it’s dawn, then another political figure shows up with such trying to say it’s not over. Wow what a resistance.
On the other side, another candidate also honored the recently concluded graduation ceremony at the Freedom Square the same grounds where the rally was held. Kinene Edward Semakula turned up dressed in an incomplete graduation attire. If a cap and ribbon were to be added onto him, he would be a complete graduand waiting to hear his name read out loud by the college principal.
As to why these two chose to be fashionistas at the last open rally, only God knows!
Our photographer @David Mujuni was there to capture the moments for you and here are the photos:-
