The process of re-election begins on Monday 22nd August. The Caretaker government has four days to research, appoint and inaugurate the Electoral Commission that shall manage the voting at the School of Education.
“By Friday, 26th August the Electoral Commission shall be in place to manage the Election,” the Dean of Students added.
He further added that he believes it is in the interest of every student to make sure that they preserve, protect and guard the process of re-election at the School of Education.

Makerere University has been in a state of quagmire from March 18th when Biddemu Bazil Mwotta was declared winner of the Presidential election, dragged to the tribunal and irregularities found to have marred the Election.
The Tribunal ordered for a fresh election at School of Education but Bazil Mwotta got an injunction from the High Court and delayed the voting.
High Court later found the case to be lacking content and dismissed it with costs in the case of Biddemu Bazil Mwotta vs Ssembogga Roy and 2 Others.
Court therefore ordered for a re-election at School of Education.
