Yesterday Sunday, 22nd of December, the Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) conducted its elections which are carried out annually to get new student leaders at National level. The contest was composed of different student leaders from all the major universities of Uganda held at St. Mary’s College Kisubi.

Makerere Guild speaker, Byakutangaza Ezra merged as the new UNSA president in elections that had alot of controversy where other contestants where disqualified with no proper reasons. These included Tundulu Jonathan the guild president of Kyambogo university, Kateregga Julius, the guild president of Makerere and Siperia Mollie Ssaasiraabo who is also a student leader at Makerere.

Apart from denying them the right to contest, together with the guild presidents of MUST, BSU, Nkozi and Gulu universities were further denied access to the voting area just because of their political side being from people power.
