In a bid to embrace technological advancements, Makerere University has introduced a digital platform intending to connect with hundreds of thousands alumni.
The system was developed by the Makerere University Endowment Fund, termed “Mak Advance System” and can be accessed via https://endowment.mak.ac.ug/
Alumni have been urged to register on the Mak Advance system via https://endowment.mak.ac.ug/register/ where a requests for basic details will be made.
Activation of registration is complete via the given email to ensure security and adherence to data privacy guidelines.
Being a digital alumni database, the system will enable the university to register, validate and digitally connect with alumni network across the globe.
It also has a payment gateway that enables alumni and friends of Makerere to conveniently donate to the University with as low as UGX 500.
Donation through the Mak advance system is possible via mobile money, card and electronic fund transfer.
In order for one to successfully make a donation, follow these steps:
i. Register
ii. Login
iii. Select the cause
iv. Select payment method
Once registered, alumni will also easily access the quarterly Legacy e-newsletter with content that covers recent news and events at Makerere as well sharing and reflections by the alumni.
