Makerere University hosted a bilateral Women’s Rights Moot Court Competition at the School of Law on Monday, December 13.

This amicable moot court competition was an integral part of the External Correspondence Initiative (ECI), a brain child of the Makerere Law Society Leadership. In the competitions, Makerere University was represented by Echipu Okello (LLB 2) and Mark Omona (LLB 1).

Conversely, the University of the Gambia Law School, which the team from Makerere Law School triumphantly defeated to win the competition, was represented by Muhammad Ceesay and Amie Koleh Sarr under the leadership of Ms. Mariama Sowe, the president of the University of the Gambia Law Students’ Association.

Makerere Law School emerged winners of the Competition and the overall best oralist of the competition was Makerere’s Mark Omona.
