Following the presidential directive to enforce curfew from 7pm to 6:30am, security organs are deployed every evening to traverse around suburbs to ensure members of the public adhere to curfew hours.
Now, it is reported that the Local Defense Unit (LDU) clobbered a Makerere University law student on Saturday night in Kyengera and left him for the dead.
The student who was identified as Kizito Ronald Mark was allegedly beaten up from his compound where he was found during curfew hours.
It should be remembered that the President in his recent speech condemned the act of security officers beating up civilians.
He added on that people are free to be in their compounds during curfew hours. Kizito is currently undergoing treatment at CTC clinic in Kyengera.
