The plight over missing marks among final year students at the biggest public university in Uganda, Makerere, is not something new.
Today, a final year law student was having none of it when he threatened to bite one of the lecturers over his missing marks.
A one Tandeka Mutebi on Tuesday morning woke up determined to follow up and conclude on the issue of his missing marks.
“I’m going to be causing a scene today at the Deputy Principal’s office at exactly 2pm in a desperate attempt to not have to do an exam I already did and I know that I passed!
If I’m going to have to redo legal methods tomorrow, they’ll at least get a piece of my mind today!!!!” the none-relenting Tandeka tweeted.
On reaching the office, Tandeka updated his followers; “Namyalo was here going on about how she ain’t dealing with any marks related problems today.. coz it daint fit her schedule…mbadde ngenda na mulumaaaaa walahi” (I was going to even bite her, I swear).
Mutebi insisted that he had lodged complaint after complaint and all he got was nothing from one lecturer called Namyalo. “Whenever anyone lodges a complaint, all they do is write the name down until the next time you complain! ”
Tandeka stood his ground and refused to leave until his results had been found “Nedda nyabo ngenda kuyimilila wanno, you might disappear” loosely translated “No Maám, I am going to stand here, you might disappear”
After a long fight, Tandeka found his missing marks and tweeted;
