Apollo Buregyeya, an Engineer and a lecturer at Makerere University College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology is currently hunting for a boy who came up with a nice building model. Buregyeya, who happens to be the CEO of Eco Concrete Ltd vowed to support the little genius’ education.
Buregyeya took to his social platforms to tell his friends that his company intends to support the boy, after asking them where he could be found.
“Friends, I’m looking for this young man. Eco Concrete Ltd intends to support his education.” Buregyeya posted.
According to Buregyeya, Engineering is supposed to be a calling just like priesthood. He added that most Engineers are not rich before explaining how they survive through life with the little money they earn.
“You want to know why many engineers are broke people? This is it. We find fulfillment in solving complex problems that don’t directly earn financial rewards. We love solving Rubik’s cubes and the complex of the sudokus yet no one gets paid for accomplishing such tasks. Apparently, engineering is supposed to be a calling, just like priesthood. That’s how engineering excellence is birthed. Who says it’s money that we want. Still, we get enough to decently go through life.” He posted recently.
The passionate engineer recently came out and offered to employ an Afghan woman who appeared in a video swearing that she will not leave her country amid the political chaos.
