Professor Bakuneta Christopher has been charged with rape and remanded to Luzira until 22nd of April 2016 by LDC Court Grade One Magistrate, Moses Baligeya.
Professor Bakuneta, 58, lecturer of the Zoology department was held by Wandegeya police on 4th April for allegedly raping a first year student that was residing in his garage.
Although the details surrounding the rape case are still doubted by many students and fellow lecturers, the Magistrate advised the professor to remain silent because the case against him is a capital offence that is only heard by the High court.
