The government has decided to pay some students because they were brighter than the rest or rather so good at cramming during their A’Level.
Non-resident students of Makerere University who registered with their particular halls of residence have received their living out allowances which were deposited on their bank accounts.
Those who decided not to have free meals received up to 700,000/- this semester.
Some banks have however delayed but the money is gradually rolling out.
