MasterCard Foundation has resumed its scholarship programme a year after it suspended its partnership with Makerere University.
The Foundation has revealed it will resume the scholarships starting February 2019 that will see over 400 students benefit on the programme.
“We are delighted to inform you that MasterCard Foundation will be offering 450 Scholarships to undergraduate students to study at Makerere University for the academic year 2019/2020,” Bernard Buteera, the Communications and Web officer MasterCard Scholaes Program said in a statement.
Mr Buteera revealed that the foundation will be targeting students who sat their UACE finals in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
To qualify for the programme, he said, female applicants should have obtained 11 points and above, while their male counterparts should have obtained 15 points and above.
He added that the application process will start in February 2019 and that the foundations would give more details.
