Macxzzon Dickson Muhwezi, a Makerere University student who was aspiring to become the next Guild President has been kicked out of the race after it was discovered that he had a retake. According to the Certificate of Academic Standing signed by the university Academic Registrar Alfred Masikye Namoah, Muhwezi had a missing mark in one paper.

“He has a missing mark in one paper and has attached medical report,” Masikye commented.

Muhwezi, who is a third year Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences student did not appear on the list of nominated candidates for this year’s guild elections. The list of duly nominated guild presidential candidates has been released by Twijukye Jackson, the Electoral Commission Chairperson and it features only four candidates.

The duly nominated guild presidential candidates include; Judith Nalukwago, Oguttu Aaron, Mutabarura Jackson, and Joseph Tumusiime.

Word circulating in Makerere University indicates that Muhwezi had already sucured large sums of money from the NRM party, Campus Bee is yet to confirm these reports.
