The letter reads;
“Your letter dated 20 September, 2021 in respect of the above captioned subject refers. Further reference is made to one issued by the Vice Chancellor dated 10 September 2021 to the Guild Speaker.
I wish to clarify that the official opening dates for Semester Two 2020/2021 are 30 September 2021 (for finalist students) and 3rd October 2021 (for all First years and Continuing Students).
The dual dates, approved by the Senate were necessitated by the delayed completion of Semester One 2020/21 Examinations for the latter group and the need for a phased opening of semester occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
