Makerere University has officially announced the Pre-Entry Examination for admission to the Bachelor of Laws program for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The mandatory test is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
The Academic Registrar, Prof. Buyinza Mukadasi, revealed a comprehensive examination process open to various applicant categories, including ‘A’ Level leavers, diploma holders, mature age applicants, and degree holders from Chartered Universities.
The exam will assess candidates through five critical skill areas: reading and comprehension, language skills, numerical and logic reasoning, general knowledge, and analytical writing.
Prospective law students must complete their applications online through the university’s dedicated portal by Thursday, April 10, 2025.
A non-refundable application fee of 110,000/= applies for Ugandan applicants, with different rates for East African, refugee, and international students.
The university has strongly cautioned applicants against seeking unauthorized coaching or preparation materials, emphasizing the importance of following official application guidelines.
