Ahead of Makerere University’s 69th Graduation ceremony, the academic registrar Mr. Alfred Masikye Namoah has released guidelines for students who are set to graduate in January 2019. In his letter dated December 4th to students, Masikye is informing those who have cleared payments to pick up their graduation gowns.

“Issuance of graduation gowns for January 2019 has started at the basement of Senate Building near UBA Bank. All graduands who have paid graduation fees including the gown should have their financial statements verified by the office of the university bursar.” part of the letter reads.

Masikye goes ahead to inform students that they should present their financial documents to the vendor before receiving the gowns. The letter further warns those planning to buy gowns from outside vendors that it is illegal, so are the gowns.

The Makerere University 69th graduation ceremony will take place in a five-day ceremony which will run from Monday 14th to Friday 18th January 2019 at the Makerere Freedom Square.
