A Makerere University medical school student identified as Ssembuusi Allan has been kidnapped, and the culprits are now making demands to his family.
According to reports, Ssembuusi who operates a mobile money kiosk was kidnapped at his brother’s residence in Nansana in the outskirts of Kampala where he has been living ever since institutions of higher learning across the country were closed in the wake of coronavirus.
Allan is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Makerere University.
According to Bukedde, his mom mentioned that the kidnappers forced Allan to contact his parents for a ransom to be paid prior to his release.
