A student of Makerere University identified as Miro Harold was on Sunday morning knocked dead by a speeding taxi reg number UAV 098R along Sir Apollo Kagwa road as he was going for prayers.
The accident which occurred next to Frama Hostel around 6am, according to eye witnesses was caused by over speeding.
Several complaints have been raised by students residing in Kikoni, Makerere on the recklessness among taxi drivers and boda riders which have made walking or crossing the ever busy Sir Apollo road a nightmare.
His body was rushed to mulago hospital for a post mortem. May his soul rest in peace.
