Four Makerere University students from University Hall are reportedly detained over possession of narcotics and alcohol.
The four students were allegedly arrested with narcotics from block Q room 23 on August 29th and detained at Makerere University police station.
These were reported to the authorities by the University Hall warden Peter Mwanje and a case of possession of narcotics was registered vide SD Ref 46/29/08/2023 against them.
The detained are Olama George, Okot Fide, Achan Emmanuel and Odong Emmanuel (visiting UCU student).
The Bee has learnt that the students have been transferred from Makerere police post to Wandegeya.
According to Makerere University rules and regulations, students are barred from using narcotics and alcohol and whoever is found in possession of these is liable to a suspension.
