A hand that gives little but with a lot of love, is a hand that is blessed. In this era when Cancer is claiming friends and relatives from every corner, it is only collective effort that can put up a spirited fight against this killer disease.
On Wednesday, students of Makerere University under their umbrella association Stacon alumni, which stands for Standard College Ntungamo donated foodstuffs and about 130,000 UGX to a one Cindarella Ainomugisha of Mulago Cancer Institute at her home in Kyebando Central.
Cindarella has been out of school for over a year now.
She first became sick (due to Cancer of the throat) in her S.4 in 2015 but managed to complete her O-level amidst difficulty. However, in S.5 2016 she attended the first term and gradually things worsened and she dropped out of school.
The association Chairman Mr. Jonan Taremwa said that they went there to give her hope of life and show her that there are people who still care about her wellbeing.
“Cancer is a disease that can only be challenged by collective effort. I therefore call upon every member of the public to come together in this struggle and save our generation.”
For any more details regarding the plight of Cindarella, the public can get in touch with her aunt Ms Fionah Kukundakwe on +256 772 052 763.
