On Wednesday, during the Sexual Reproductive Health Uganda Mitchelle Hall Health Day, girls from neighbouring halls like Marystuart and Complex seized the opportunity of receiving free contraceptive pills especially, Postinor 2.
With a few packets of emergency contraception pills available for distribution, the students had to struggle to pick some from the service provider for themselves and for their peers.
“Giving them emergency contraceptive pills implies that “Go And Have Unprotected Sex” because there’s no way you can use such pills when using condoms,” a one Ogwang Gilbert, a parent lamented.
“They should be encouraging the young ladies to abstain or to always use condoms. HIV/AIDS will keep raising…Good job guys..can’t you see the logic behind that?” he sarcastically added.
